On 6 October 2015, the government of Argentina via Resolution 3802 raised the "criterion values" (valores criterio de carácter preventivo) for imports of certain electrical machinery (HS Code 8543.70.99).
These raised "criterion values"correspond to a FOB value of USD 12.0 to USD 13.0 per unit. The previous import criterion values corresponded to a range of FOB values of USD 7.00 to USD 8.20 per unit.
The criterion values apply to imports from the following countries: China, Democratic People Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam.
The affected trading partners are those of the potentially affected countries whose export volume to Argentina on the affected tariff lines exceed USD 1 million.
