Export ban

According to news reports, on 15 December 2015, Bangladesh has lifted the export ban on raw jute from certain processed varities. These varities include automatic scanning, machine cut jute (10-120mm), jute silver and jute TRO.
 
Raw jute exports have been banned by Bangladesh since November 2015 to ensure domestic supply post implementation of rules under the Mandatory Jute Packing Act that makes use of jute packaging compulsary for certain industries.
