Import tariff quota

On 30 December 2015 the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council (Camex) issued Resolution No. 123 introducing tariff-rate quota on anhydrous utilized for the production of specific detergent powders under the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM) 2833.11.10. The import duty was reduced from 10% to 2% with a quota of 455,000 tons. This measure was implemented for supply reasons and entered into force the 31 December 2015 for a period of 180 days.
