No On 16 January 2016, the European Commission announced regulation 2016/38 on the extended advance payments ceiling for the wine sector. The previous regulation 555/2008 raised the maximum ceiling for advance payments from 20% to 50% until the end of 2015.
The regulation at hand prolongs these special arrangements for 2016 as well. It came into force on 17 January 2016.
A state measure in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects the extent of discrimination against foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the state aid proposed here is discriminatory.
