NoOn 22 September 2015, the government of Panama via Decree 26, announced its decision to reduce the import quota for pasta shortages of raw or tomato pulp as raw material (HS 2002.90.12). The denoted import quota is applicable to 1,300 tonnes of HS 2002.90.12 until 31 December 2015. Lastly, Decree 26 states that given that HS 2002.90.12 is defined as a primary material, it will be subjected to an import custom duty of 3%.
Panama in the fiscal year 2014, allowed the importation of 1,578 metric tons forraw or tomato pulp as raw material (HS 2002.90.12) at a 0% tariff rate.
