On 1 January 2013 the government of Malaysia decreased import tariffs on various plastic articles i.e. polyethylene, polypropylene and propylene copolymers; as well as teats for feeding bottles and the like from 15% to 10%. Additionally import tariffs were reduced on flat-rolled iron or non-alloy steel products clad, plated or coated of a specific thickness and width from 10% to 5%.
