Export tax

On 28 July 2014 the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan approved Decree No. 833. It amends Decree No. 520 of 7 June 2010.
It decreased:

  • the export duty on aluminium ingots or liquid from 15%, but not less than EUR 100 per tonne to 3%, but not less than EUR 22;
  • the export duty of parts of railway locomotives or tramway rolling stock from 20%, but not less than EUR 100 per 1 ton to20%, but not less than EUR 15 per 1 ton.

 
As a discriminatory change, seasonal export duties were introduced for certain parts of railway locomotives classified under code 8607 19 100 9 at 10% of customs value, but no less than EUR 7.5 per tonne.
The treatment of exports of these goods under the general regime without preferences and to countries participating in Free Trade Zone Agreements is the same.
Decree No. 833 was abolished by Decree No. 829 of 15 October 2015.
