ANNOUNCED AS TEMPORARYNo
The governmentof Argentina announced that from 1st January 2014 it will increase the mandatory blending of diesel transportation fuel with soyoil-based biodiesel from 8% to 10%. FAO sources indicate that the denoted increase was undertaken with the scope of compensating domestic Argentine biodiesel producers for the European trade lost which came into place after the EU imposed strict anti-dumping duties on biodiesel imports from Argentina on the fiscal year 2013.
No trading partners have been identified as affected as, according to UN Comtrade, no import origin exceeded the GTA de minimis value of USD 1 million in 2013.
