On 21 July 2015, Sri Lanka decreased the Special Commodity Levy on imports of crude oils of soyabean, palm and sunflower from Rs. 105 (USD 0.78) per kg. to Rs. 90 (USD 0.673) per kg. The levy was last increased in June 2015 and later increased in September 2015 (See related measures).
The Special Commodity Levy is a composite duty on the product and no other tax, duty, cess etc. is applicable on the said product while the levy is valid.
