On 1 October 2015, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board introduced the Oil Palm Replanting Scheme Incentive 2015 for large-scale replanting initiatives across the country. The scheme has a budget of RM 100 million (USD 23.29 million) and aims to provide grants for a total of 83,000 hectares.
The grants are disbursed on a first-come-first-served basis. Applicants for the first 33,000 ha will receive a grant worth RM 1,500 per ha (ca. USD 349.31). Applicants for the remaining 50,000 ha. will receive RM 1,000 per ha (ca. USD 232.87).
