NoConfirmed by the Permanent Delegation of Brazil to the WTO, the government of Brazil has extended the tariff reduction on terephthalic acid from 11 February 2011 to 31 June 2011.
Initially on November 23rd, 2009, the Brazilian government had announced a tariff reduction on the ad-valorem import duty from 12% to 0% for terephthalic acid and its salts classified under the item 2917.36.00 of the the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM) tariff code.
The stated duration of 16 months reflects the total duration of the measure.
