NoOn September 10th, 2015, the Argentinian authorities decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on imports of poly(ethylene terephthalate), in pellets, viscosity index between 0.7 and 0.9 decilitre per gramme, from Indonesia and the United States of America (Resolution 366/2015, 10.09.2015).
The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code: 3907.6000.
The complaint was lodged by DAK Americas Argentina S.A. The investigation started on the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Journal of the Argentinian Republic, i.e. on September 16th, 2015.
On 27 July 2016, the Argentinian authorities decided to continue the above investigation without the imposition of provisional duties. The decision came into force 3 August 2016.
On 15 March 2017, the Argentinian authorities imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of the subject good from Indonesia. The rate of duty is ad valorem 15.10% of the FOB declared value. No duty was imposed on imports of the subject good from the United States. The measure is in force for a period of five years.
The definitive duty was terminated on 15 March 2020.
