NoThe government of the Republic of Panama on 1 October 2012, removed the subsidy for insurance policies related to production equipment from the Program for Agricultural Competitiveness.
Prior to the change, the agricultural producers only had to pay half of the insurance premiums on their investment, with the government providing the rest. The subsidy concerning the insurance policies for production as part of the Program for Agricultural Competitiveness was approved on 12 March 2008.
