On 15 January 2014, Aeroflot, with state ownership of 51%, considered to be the national airline company of Russia, signed an agreement for the supply of 20 Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircrafts (SSJ-100). According to the second provided source the price of the different light passenger jets Sukhoi Superjet 100 varies between 27.8 and 32 million USD.
"The machine shows that it is competitive, it is not worse than its analogues and competitors -- "Boeing" and "Airbus", even according to many parameters it is superior", -- said the General Director of "Aeroflot "Vitaly Saveliev.
He also added 'This deal corresponds to the import substitution policy declared by the President Putin. '...' We do not merely support the Russian aircraft industry. We do a highly profitable investment in the future of the whole country.'
