On 22 June 2012, Argentina's Ministry of Economy and Public Finances (MEFP) issued Resolution 304/12 GFSM, altering the procedures on import licensing. Import certificates issued by the authorities are henceforth to be printed on forgery-proof paper (papel de seguridad), with a view to accelerate customs procedures. In addition, the validity of all vouchers, certificates et cetera is harmonised to 60 days - previously, the validity ranged from 30 to 120 days, depending on the exact type of certificate required.
