NoIn the U.S. Territory of Guam on September 11, 2013, the island's 'buy local' policy was extended to the main airport, where a 'Made in Guam' Business Incubator Program was introduced. Local vendors will thus be able to showcase their products at the airport, where more than a million visitors per year pass by. The concession holder of the Airport is not allowed to offer products that directly compete with products offered by participants in the 'Made in Guam' program.
The provision was incorporated in the law concerning the budget for 2014 (Public Law 32-068), in section 28 of the Miscellaneous Provisions and enters into force on October 1, 2013.
