On 16 April 2013, the Federal Council introduced additional provisions for cross-border service providers (only for short term services, up to 90 days of work per year).
From 15 May onwards, all EU/EFTA employers are obliged to transmit the salaries of their workers before doing business in Switzerland. Furthermore, the reported salary must be at least as high as the Swiss minimum wage in the sector.
The measure is discriminatory against foreign commercial interests as it imposes additional administrative provisions and business restrictions on foreign firms operating in Switzerland.
