NoOn 15 April 2013, the Export Finance and Insurance Corporation (EFIC), Australia's export credit agency, announced it would provide a direct loan to the producers of the Australian surfing drama Drift. This state support was necessary because the existing lender, Fulcrum Media Finance, was unable to provide the additionally needed pre-sales financing. The financing has been provided as part of EFIC's loan scheme targeting Australian films, documentary and film productions with international distribution agreements. The worldwide release of the film is scheduled for May 2013.
