NoFDI: Entry and ownership rule
On 23 January 2012, the Capital Market Authority of Saudi Arabia announced an amendment to its listing regulations. A foreign issuer, whose securities are listed in another regulated exchange, can now apply for its securities to be registered and admitted to listing on the Saudi Arabian exchange as well. The listing is approved by the Authority if it deems the foreign jurisdiction's rules of listing equivalent to the ones applying in Saudi Arabia (as specified in the amendment).
