Brazil: Extension of increased IOF tax of 6% to debit cards, traveler checks, and cash withdrawal

Description

On 28 March 2011, the Brazilian government raised the financial operations tax, also known as the IOF, on credit card purchases by Brazilians made abroad (this includes internet commerce). The tax rate, was raised from 2.38% to 6.38%.
