Description

 In a press release by the office of the president, a ban has been imposed on the transport and export of logs. This is in a bid to crackdown on illegal logging in the country.

Sierra Leone: 15% tax on diamond exports

 A 15% export tax has been imposed on diamonds worth more than US$50,000. The tax took effect on December 28 2009.
