Bangladesh: Export ban lifted from certain jute varities

According to news reports, on 15 December 2015, Bangladesh has lifted the export ban on raw jute from certain processed varities. These varities include automatic scanning, machine cut jute (10-120mm), jute silver and jute TRO.

EAC: Impose of levy on all imports into the Community

On the 1 July 2014 the East African Community (EAC) imposed an infrastructure levy of 1.5% on all imports into the Community. This is with the exception of the United Republic of Tanzania, which will temporarily apply this levy for one year.
