India: Temporary restriction of duty free import of natural rubber to manufacture export goods

 Effective 21 January 2016, India restricted the duty free import of natural rubber under the Advance Authorisation (AA) scheme until 31 March 2016.

 On 20 January 2016, the Indian Ministry of Commerce & Industry restricted the import of natural rubber under HS 4001 only through the sea ports of Chennai and Nhava Sheva. No import restrictions existed earlier for such imports.

Bangladesh: Export ban lifted from certain jute varities

According to news reports, on 15 December 2015, Bangladesh has lifted the export ban on raw jute from certain processed varities. These varities include automatic scanning, machine cut jute (10-120mm), jute silver and jute TRO.

Bangladesh: Export ban on raw jute (November 2015)
