Vietnam: Import tariff increases on a range of products

Description

Effective 24 October 2010, the government of Vietnam raised import tariffs on a range of goods. As announced by the Ministry of Finance, import tariffs on specified food items will increase to a level of 40 percent. Also, household equipment such as kitchen utensils, stoves or air condition systems will be subject to rates increased up to 30 percent.
