United States of America: Antidumping and countervailing duty investigations of steel wire garment hangers imported from Taiwan and Vietnam
Description
Based on a petition filed on December 29, 2011, the U.S. International Trade Commission instituted antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of steel wire garment hangers. These include AD and CVD petitions against imports from Vietnam and an AD petition against imports from Taiwan (also known as Chinese Taipei).
The commission reached an affirmative determination in its vote on the preliminary injury investigation on February 10, 2012 (http://www.usitc.gov/press_room/news_release/2012/er0210kk2.htm). The case now moves to the U.S. Department of Commerce for its preliminary dumping and subsidy determinations.
