Turkey: Definitive safeguard duty imposed on imports of matches
Description
On May 2, 2009 Turkey introduced a preliminary affirmative safeguard decision concerning imports of matches.
On October 31, 2009 the Turkish government adopted a decision imposing a safeguard duty in the form of an "additional financial duty applicable for a period of three years. The maximum financial duty for the first year is 1.00 USD per kg. subject to a threshold unit value of 3.1 USD per kg. The rate of liberalization is 5 cents per year. (Antidumpingpublishing.com).
