Tajikistan: Simplification of export-import and transit operations
Description
A working group on simplification of export-import operations was created in Tajikistan according to the Decree of the Government. The main objective of the working group was to come up with suggestions and recommendations on simplification of export-import operations in Tajikistan. Based on suggestions of the working group the Plan on actions for simplification of administrative barriers in export and import was adopted on 1 October 2008 №487. The Plan is scheduled until the end of the year 2009. According to point 63 of the Plan the Government adopted a Decree on Formation of Single Window on export-import and transit procedures on 31 December 2008 №659.
The Concept of the Single Window simplifies the system of export-import and transit operations in Tajikistan which allows to provide standardized information and documents using just one channel of regulation of all export-import operations. The government contends that the measure will improve the business climate in the republic and will increase the competitiveness level of the country at the international markets as well as accelerate the Tajikistan WTO accession process.
Currently the ministries and other state bodies are working on implementation of the Concept of Single Window for export-import and transit procedures in the Republic of Tajikistan.
