South Africa:Veterinary import permits for some products from Namibia cancelled
Description
The South Africa Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has cancelled veterinary import permits already issued for beef, goat meat, mutton and venison not slaughtered at South African approved abattoris due to the outbreak of Rift Valley Fever (RVF) in Namibia. However, imports of products such as pasteurized milk, 'break dry' biltong, droe wors and matured meat slaughtered at South African approved abattoris will continue.
