Malaysia: Termination without duties of safeguard investigation on imports of Hot-rolled coils

Description

 On May 1, 2011, the competent authorities of Malaysia initiated a safeguard investigation on the import of Hot-rolled Coils. (HS Codes 7208, 7211)
 
Products under investigation are:
(a) flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, hot-rolled, not clad, plated or coated, in coils;
(b) flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, hot-rolled, not clad, plated or coated, in coils, with patterns in relief; and
(c) flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel, hot-rolled, not clad, plated or coated, in coils, pickled.
 
On August 22, 2011 the investigation was terminated due to no strong evidence of serious injury or threat of serious injury experienced by the domestic industry.
