Brazil: Temporary suspension of antidumping duties applied to Portland Cement

Description

On September 1st  2010, Brazil made public through  the President of CAMEX its decision to suspend the antidumping duties in force against the imports of Portland cement from Mexico and Venezuela.
 
The product is classified under the codes 2523.29.10 (common cement portland) and
2523.29.90 (other cement portland)  of  Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM).
 
The measure will be suspended until 27 October 2010.

The Decision to suspend the antidumping investigation was taken on the basis of the elements available on the Investigation Process no 52000.026476/2010 -54. The decision was taken for reasons of national interest and the need to stabilize prices in the domestic market, affected by the measure.
