Brazil: tariff reduction for preparations of a kind used in animal feeding other than dog and cat and steroidal hormones
Description
On September 22nd, 2009, the Brazilian government announced tariff reductions on the ad-valorem import duty from 8% to 2% for preparations of a kind used in animal feeding other than dog and cat and from 14% to 2% for steroidal hormones, products classified under the items 2309.90.60 and 2937.29.60 of the the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM) tariff code.
The potential affected jurisdictions are the countries responsible for at least 70% of the world exports of the 6 digit-products codes (2309.90 and 2937.29) in 2008 (Comtrade/Wits).
In the case of the product 2309.90 these countries are: Netherlands, Germany, United States, Belgium, France, United Kingdom and China.
In the case of the product 2937.29 these countries are: Sweden, United Kingdom, Germany and France.
