Belarus: FDI promotion in the car production sector

Description

The Government Decree # 175 from 4 April 2009 introduces FDI facilitation measures for the organization of the car production in the territory of Belarus. The foreign companies which conclude the special agreement with the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus on the conditions of production will get a 3 years tax break. During this agreement (up to 10 years) the companies will also be allowed not to pay import duties and VAT on the equipment (and car parts) necessary for the car production at the territory of Belarus.
