Australia: preliminary antidumping duty on geosynthetic clay liners from Germany

Measure #0489 | Published 1 Sep 2009 ▲

Description

Australia imposed a preliminary antidumping duty on geosynthetic clay liners originating in Germany. The investigation was initiated on January 6, 2009 and the preliminary duty was put in place on May 8, 2009 with immediate effect according to the decision stating that dumping and injury both occured. The investigation was introduced on a petition from Geofabrics Australasia Pty Ltd on behalf of its subsidiary Elco Solutions Pty Ltd. The dumping margin is 26.70% and it is imposed if price falls under a certain level.
On October 15, 2009 Australia issued a Customs Dumping Notice No. 2009/35 stating that the investigation of the case had been concluded and the dumping was found to occur.
