Argentina: Reference prices on imports of woven fabrics of synthetic staple fibers from certain Asian countries.

Description

On June 1st, 2012, the Government of Argentina adopted reference prices applicable to the importation of certain woven fabrics of synthetic staple fibers from China, Pakistan, and other Asian countries.
In accordance with the Argentinean legislation, once a reference price is established, when a good subject to such prices is imported at a lower cost, the importer shall guarantee the difference between the reference price and the value declared at customs.
The product subject to this measure is classified under the following tariff lines of MERCOSUR’s Harmonized System: 5513.11.00 and 5513.21.00
These reference prices will enter into force on June 5, 2012.
