Argentina: Reference prices on imports of rubber balloons from Brazil, China, and other countries.
Description
On February 9, 2012, the Government of Argentina adopted reference prices applicable to the importation of certain type of rubber balloons for entertainment, including magic tricks and practical jokes, from Brazil and China, among others.
In accordance with the Argentinean legislation, once a reference price is established, when a good subject to such prices is imported at a lower cost, the importer shall guarantee the difference between the reference price and the value declared at customs.
The product subject to this measure is classified under the following tariff lines of the MERCOSUR’s Harmonized System: 9505.90.00.
These reference prices entered into force on February 9, 2012.
