Algeria: Temporary import duty exemption of import duties on edible oil

Description

As a reaction to rising food prices, the Prime Minister of Algeria has temporarily exempted edible oils from all import duties.
 
The change is to be in effect from 1 January 2011 until 31 August 2011.
 
Prior to the change, imported edible oils were charged a duty of 5 percent.
